The innovative Kørekort app transforms the traditional method of carrying a physical driving license by providing a digital alternative that is valid within Denmark.

Users are able to securely store and show their Danish driving license using their smartphone, which simplifies daily routines and instances where identification is required. To enjoy this convenience, a valid Danish driving license, a Danish passport, MitID verification, and an NFC-capable phone are prerequisites.

Once configured, the necessity to carry a physical driving license is reduced as the digital version suffices for legal identification while driving in Denmark. It is still necessary to carry a physical driver's license for international travel or driving.

This app offers several advantages:

- It acts as a legal driving license within Danish borders.

- Verifying one's driving status is convenient and uncomplicated.

- On-the-go identification needs, such as those where a driving license is typically necessary, are easily met.

Developed in collaboration with key Danish authorities, including the Danish Agency for Digitalisation, the Ministry of Justice, the National Police, the Ministry of Transport, Buildings and Housing, and the Danish Transport Agency, the game sets high standards for quality and security.
